THIS SITE IS DEDICATED TO MY SON JEFF BRIGNONE FT1 USN WHO PASSED AWAY ON
JULY 27, 2000 FROM COLON CANCER AT AGE 35. IT IS ALSO DEDICATED TO ALL THE
MEN AND WOMEN OF THE US NAVY WHO GO DOWN TO THE SEA IN SHIPS. MAY THEY
HAVE FAIR WIND, DEEP WATER AND ALWAYS COME HOME SAFELY. I AM GRATEFUL FOR
THEIR SACRIFICES, HUMBLED BY THEIR DEEDS AND PROUD OF THEIR DEVOTION TO
THEIR COUNTRY, NAVY AND SHIPMATES. IT WAS AN HONOR AND A PRIVILEGE FOR ME
TO HAVE SERVED AMONG THEM.

This web site is all US Navy and especially directed at my ship the USS MIDWAY CVA-41.
I proudly served aboard her from November 1957 through May 1959. There are several
good photographs of the Midway, various aircraft, other ships that operated with her and
links to other sites. Many sites have a lot of technical data on ships and this one has its
share, but it is mainly a lot of photos and a lot of nostalgia. Every sailor who goes to sea
has a story to tell. This is mine.
This site is not related to nor does it have any official connections with the United States Navy
or any other USS Midway site. All information herein has been provided by outside sources and
is not necessarily the views of the US Navy. This site is made for entertainment purposes only
and is not intended in any way to be an official source for information regarding the US Navy.
